Using a ping lowering proxy with GW
I was wondering whether anyone has ever gotten a paid-proxy such as wowtunnels, lowerping, or smoothping,etc to work with Guild Wars in order to reduce the latency?
I currently use wowtunnels with Aion and it reduces my ping from 700ms to about 300ms and does wonders for my lag, but I can't get it to work with Guild Wars and I can't seem to find anything on google either in regards to this. If I run any proxies behind GW, it would simply never get past the initial loading screen that says 'Connecting to Anet'. If there's no way around it, I wonder if Anet's willing to make some changes to its client (if minor) in order for us Aussies (or anyone else geographically disadvantaged) to have the option of using a proxy service if needed? I've not been able to get proxies to work with GW in the past, doesn't mean it's not possible, but I doesn't help me out any when I've tried it (free ones)..
